Why I left my heart in Kaffeeklatsch Baguio

July 27, 2017

If there would be one reason why I would go back to Baguio, I think it would be because of this coffee place called Kaffeeklastch. In this blog, I'll tell you the reason why I will choose this coffee shop over Starbucks anytime of the day.

Way back June 2016, I decided to go to Baguio all by myself. It is my very first solo travel. What made me do it? I am broken and I am lost. I decided that maybe I just needed time to find myself, and to be able to do it, maybe I needed to get lost in a place I am not familiar with and my name isn't known by anyone. And so I did. At 11pm, I took a bus in Victory Liner Station in Sampaloc, and waited for the first Baguio bus trip that I can catch. Luckily, I arrived on time and there's plenty of room for travelers like me.

A friend of mine recommended this place, and we actually wanted to visit this place together, but since it was in pulse that I decided to visit the place, I went alone and because of my love of coffee and cozy places, I put it on my Baguio Bucketlist.

I am giving you a list of why I love this place, and why you shouldn't miss to check it out while you're up in the Summer Capital of the Philippines.

1. The Ambiance
This place is a really cozy one. With all the deem lights, the bean bangs and those Narra chairs, it would actually make you fall in love with everything and everyone. So I suggest you either bring someone close to your heart, or just bring yourself. You don't want to fall in love with a place as beautiful as this, and then get your heart broken by the person you brought here. Place don't give yourself any reason to hate this place, please?

2. The Food and the Drinks
If you've known me for so long, you'd know that I couldn't go a day without having a coffee in my system. It has become a part of me. Without my coffee, I feel really incomplete and irritated. And you wouldn't believe how much I love my Java Chip with vanilla syrup blended Whipped Cream with another whipped cream on top from Starbucks. I would spend 210-230pesos a day just to have this drink. Yes, every single day since 2011. Not until I tried their Hot Chocolate and it was all that I could think of. I forgot how my Starbucks drink taste like. I only crave for their drinks since then. And their carbonara, oh sweet carbonara. I'd say that you try it. DEFINITELY TRY IT.

3. The Settings
When I first lay my eyes on this place, I immediately told myself that I belong here. This is exactly the kind of place that I wouldn't get tired seeing. This is the kind of place that I'd let myself get lost everyday and I wouldn't complain. It doesn't need the rain to make you feel like you're in a music video or your hippie indie films. Just the summer breeze in Baguio is enough to make you feel how you should feel when you fall inlove in one place.

4. The Acoustic Bands
Oh, Kaffeeklastch. Why you must have everything every romantic souls like me could ever ask for? The bands and the singers who play in this cafe makes it complete. They are all perfectly good, and their music fits every little thing in Baguio. If you're broken, they'll make you feel the pain. If you're in love, they'll make you fall inlove to that one person more. They are superb! Best part? You can also jam with them! If I've been given the gift of great voice, I'd sing my heart out in this place. Yep, no doubt that I definitely would. The band would start to play at I think 7pm or 8pm. So you better not missed them!
